John Bellenden Ker Gawler

John Bellenden Ker Gawler ( John Bellenden Ker-Gawler ) (* 1764 , Ramridge , Andover - junio 1842 , íd) fue un botánico inglés . Obtiene el cambio de nombre por un permiso real del 5 de noviembre de 1804 como "Ker Bellenden", mas continuará siempre firmando "Bellenden Ker". Autor de Recension Plantarum ( 1801 ), Select Orchideae (hacia 1816 ), Iridearum Genera ( 1827 ). Edita la revista Botanical Register de 1815 a 1824 . Honores Robert Brown (1773-1858) le dedica en 1810 el género botánico Bellendena de la familia de las Proteaceae . Fuente
